Adjust your Strategy:
Players should always play to improve their cards against opponents and if the cards needed to stand a good chance of the pot are in the opponent's hand, using other options or choosing to fold helps to avoid losing more than a player can afford.
Smart Play:
Each suit has 13 cards, with five of these cards resulting in a flush. Always start with a high pair to eliminate other players as quickly as possible. Only avoid high hands if another player is betting aggressively on what seems to be a good hand. Never commence with a low pair except when they are concealed or your side card can beat other players.
Fifth Street is a make or break point:
Winning is more important at the end of each round and as the betting amount doubles it's important to strategically play for a winning hand. Players can fold as an option to minimise their loss especially when their opponent's exposed cards are able to beat the hand.
Be Alert:
Players should learn to count cards and if the aim is to hit a straight, it always advisable to change strategy if another player is holding the card needed to complete that straight.
Be Patient:
Players are advised to concentrate on enjoying this exciting poker game rather than on the betting. It might take a while before a player's strategy become effective and therefore patiently is important in that regard.
